February 22, 1970 - June 18, 2024

Jacqueline Rose (Stevens) Cogswell – 54, of Centerville, Kings County, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Asaph and Mona (Pinch) Stevens; the beloved wife of 31 years to Kenneth Cogswell; mother of Justin (Mandie); grandmother to the best grandchildren, Alice and Oakley; sister to David (Michelle), Faye (Chris), Catherine (Marty), Wanda and Sharon (Rob); sister-in-law to Lori (Fred) and Derek (Melissa); aunt and great aunt to Michael, Matheau, Rosalyn, Ryen, Colten, Ava, Hayley, Alisha, Alex, Jacob, Jaydia, Jewel, Cayden, Dante, Estella, Elliott, Parker, Sophia, Emerbeley, Aaron and William. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a nephew, Aaron and niece, Jessica. Jackie loved life and everyone in it. If there was a celebration, she would spend days at Costco shopping and preparing food, enough food to feed an army. She would cook and host holiday meals. She was always there to help anyone, yet too stubborn to accept any for herself. She spent many years working in different departments in Walmart, until leaving to provide care for her father. She was the bookkeeper for the family drywall business but her best job was looking after grandkids every day. As per Jackie’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the breakfast program at the Coldbrook School or to the SPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
