James Ivan Pineo

1955-2023

James Ivan Pineo

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Ivan Pineo, 68, of Centreville (formerly of Upper Canard). He passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023 at Valley Hospice with his wife and daughters by his side. He was a son of the late Lloyd and Dorothy Pineo of Coldbrook.

James farmed all his life; he worked for Robert Chase in Port Williams, Ells Brothers Ltd. in Sheffield Mills, KB Kinsman and Son Ltd. in Lower Canard and Bragg Lumber Co. Ltd in Billtown. James enjoyed playing cards, radio Lions bingo and watching game shows on TV, but what he enjoyed most in life were his three grandchildren. James was a quiet man but had a great sense of humor. He loved to make jokes and tease. James had a big heart and never wanted anyone to make a fuss over him.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Centreville; daughters, Tanya (Wayne) of Centreville and Melissa (Greg) of Canning; grandchildren, Kaden, Madison and Parker; sister Lois; brothers, Harry (Donna), Billy (Ruby), Donnie (Ardith), as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his sisters, Rose, Nancy, Alberta and Marion, as well as his brothers, Reggy and Gerald.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the doctors and staff at Valley Hospice for the exceptional care that was provided to James over the last four months.
